From 1 November 2025, the Australian Government’s Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care programs.

Under Support at Home, eligible participants can access separate funding for Assistive Technology (AT) and Home Modifications (HM) based on their assessed needs. This can help make it easier to access the equipment and changes needed to stay safe, comfortable and independent at home.

How to shop with Support at Home funding

Our team understands the requirements of the Support at Home AT-HM scheme and can work with your provider or prescriber to help make the process as straightforward as possible.

Step by Step

1. Add the items you wish to purchase to your cart.
2. Select Support at Home as your payment method. 
3. Advise us of your preferred provider and their contact information at time of checkout.
4. Our friendly team will send you and/or your provider an invoice to pay.
5. Once payment has been made we will ship the items to you.

Please note: assistive technology valued over $15,000 requires pre-approval before it can be purchased via the Support at Home AT-HM scheme. Your Support at Home provider will need to complete and submit the required Pre-Approval Form, along with the relevant prescription and Aidacare quote, through My Aged Care.

Once the submission has been reviewed and approved, your AT High funding tier can be increased to cover the approved equipment. Aidacare can support you and your provider with accurate quotes, product information and the documentation required for your application.
